Samaritan Center of Puget Sound

Counseling, Consultation, Mediation and Education

Samaritan Center of Puget Sound, formerly Presbyterian Counseling Service, provides high quality, faith-integrative, affordable counseling for individuals, couples and families in 20 locations in Seattle and the Eastside, South King County, Pierce County and Kitsap County. Our roots and tradition are in the Christian community, and we provide quality care for people from all faiths, backgrounds and lifestyles.

We seek to make our services as affordable as possible, which means accepting most insurance plans and, for those with limited incomes, offering fee assistance as our resources allow.

We believe that healing occurs on multiple levels--mind, body, spirit and soul--and are always willing to consider with our clients the spiritual as well as psychological aspects of healing and growth.

Samaritan is the largest faith-based counseling agency in our area. In these tough economic times, we're aware that we've become the "go-to" referral source for those needing fee assistance.

Our mission has always been to provide high quality, faith-integrative, affordable counseling for individuals, couples and families. We try to do this regardless of the clients' ability to pay.

In order to continue to do so, we depend on the generosity of our community -- individual donors, churches and grant resources.

In this, our 50th year, more than ever we are counting on your help to ensure that those with significantly limited incomes will receive quality care.

Youth & Family Services

Samaritan therapists are trained and experienced in working with children, youth and their families.

We help families cope with the problems that arise in this complex world -- providing practical tools and support as they work through difficult times. Among the concerns that families deal with are school problems, disordered eating, drug and alcohol involvement, depression, anxiety and the hurt and confusion that occurs when a family goes through separation and divorce.

Samaritan also provides counseling and mental health services for at-risk and homeless youth in Seattle's University District and in Downtown Seattle.
